One dies, three injured as auto plunges into gorge in J&K's Ramban
Ramban, Feb14: One person died on spot whereas three others sustained injuries after Three Wheeler (Auto) in which they were travelling on a link road in Chakka area of Rajgarh tehsil in Ramban district skidded off the road and fell into gorge on Friday evening.
Police source said an auto carrying three passenger in a remote Chakka area of Rajgargh tehsil skidded off the road and fell into several hundred feet deep gorge, resulting in one person died on spot whereas three others sustained injuries.
Officials said all three injured were rushed to PHC Rajgargh where from they were referred to District Hospital Ramban for advanced treatment.
Police said dead body of the deceased person was also retrieved from the gorge and shifted to the PHC Rajgarh for conducting postmortem and other legal formalities.
The deceased auto driver has been identified Bihari Lal, son of Baldev Singh, resident of Bibrota, Rajgarh of district Ramban.
The injured has been identified as Bodh Raj (45), son of Sher Singh, resident of village Chakka; Raj Kumar (46), son of Sher Singh, resident of village Duga; and Ravi Das (55), son of Sher Singh, resident of Duga.
Police has registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Post ,Kashtigarh,Doda for further investigations.
