HC reconstitutes panel on seniority re-fixation of Munsiffs

Srinagar, Apr 11: The High Court of J&K and Ladakh Friday reconstituted the committee with regard to the re-fixation of seniority of 2000 and 2001 batches of Munsiffs.

According to an order by Registrar General Shahzad Azeem, the committee reconstituted comprises acting Chief Justice, Sanjeev Kumar, Justice Rajnesh Oswal and  Justice Mohammad Akram Chowdhary.

The committee constituted vide High Court Order No 1544 of 2Q24/RG dated October 17, 2024, has been formed consequent upon the transfer of Justice Atul Sreedharan.

The committee has been mandated to hear all those officers of the 2000 and 2001 batches of Munsiffs, who may be affected by re-fixation of their seniority in terms of the judgment dated October 7, 2024, passed in SWP No 1840/2007 titled Ashwani Kumar Sharma and Others versus State of J&K and Others.
