CME held at LD Hospital
Srinagar, Apr 14: The Postgraduate Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, successfully organised a one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on the theme ‘Hope after Loss’, focusing on the ‘Challenges and Clinical Management of Recurrent Pregnancy Loss (RPL)’.
The event was inaugurated by Principal and Dean GMC Srinagar, Prof Iffat Hassan, who highlighted the significance of ongoing education in improving patient outcomes and enhancing societal well-being.
Head of the Department, Prof Syed Masuma Rizvi underlined the importance of such academic engagements in empowering young doctors and promoting collaborative strategies to address the emotional and medical complexities of RPL.
The highly interactive panel discussion, moderated by Organising Secretary Prof Samiya Mufti brought together leading experts to deliberate on practical strategies, interdisciplinary approaches, and case-based scenarios, fostering a dynamic exchange of ideas and enhancing learning.
The CME witnessed active participation from postgraduate students, faculty, and medical professionals, making it a significant academic milestone in advancing care for patients experiencing recurrent pregnancy loss.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks presented by Dr Rukhsana Sami on behalf of the organising committee, acknowledging the contributions of all participants and resource persons.
She expressed hope for continued academic collaboration to address critical challenges in women's reproductive health.
