J&K Yateem Foundation bids farewell to 9 Bait-ul-Hilal scholars
Srinagar, Apr 14: The J&K Yateem Foundation organised a farewell ceremony for nine Bait-ul-Hilal scholars who spent four to 13 years under the care of the orphanage, Bait-ul-Hilal Jawahar Nagar, Srinagar.
A statement of the J&K Yateem Foundation issued here said that the event was presided over by Chairman J&K Yateem Foundation Muhammad Ahsan Rather while Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kashmir Polytechnic College, Srinagar, Muddasir Ahmad was the special guest at the function.
The event was marked by emotional moments as the scholars shared their journeys and expressed gratitude for the support they received. The scholars, who spent their formative years at Bait-ul-Hilal, received education from prestigious institutions and coaching centres in Srinagar. During the ceremony, they shared touching accounts of their struggles and the hardships their mothers endured after losing their fathers.
Their stories moved the audience to tears, highlighting the transformative role of the Yateem Foundation in their lives. In his address, Muddasir Ahmad emphasised that the scholars were now ambassadors of the Yateem Foundation.
“Your actions in society will reflect the values and education imparted to you by the foundation,” he said, urging them to uphold integrity and excellence in their future endeavours.
Earlier, the Head of the Department at DIET Baramulla, Javaid Ahmad Lone provided guidance on various educational and career paths available to the scholars.
He encouraged them to pursue their aspirations with dedication and resilience.
The Chairman of J&K Yateem Foundation, Muhammad Ahsan Rather advised the scholars to adhere to the path of righteousness.
“Success lies in perseverance, moral values, and serving humanity. Make your families and the Foundation proud,” he said.
Secretary Finance Mehmood-ur-Reyaz presented the welcome address.
The programme was conducted by the Programme Executive of Bait-ul-Hilal Jawahar Nagar, Muhammad Amin Bhat while district representative Anantnag, Shafeeq Ahmad Khaki presented the concluding Dua, seeking blessings for the scholars’ future.
