Withdrawing bus service for fee payment delays unacceptable: Qayoom Wani

Srinagar, Mar 14: Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF) Chairman and former chairman of the Teacher’s Forum, Abdul Qayoom Wani Friday strongly condemned the decision by the management of Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar to withdraw bus services for students due to delayed fee payments.

In a statement issued here, Wani called the move not only a blatant violation of the National Education Policy (NEP) but also a direct assault on the fundamental right to education that every child is entitled to under the constitution.

The JKCSF Chairman said that while parents may occasionally delay fee payments due to unforeseen circumstances like late salary disbursements or other domestic challenges, it does not absolve schools from their responsibility to accommodate and support students.
