Toddler dies after fall from second storey of home in Bandipora

Bandipora, April 04: In a heart-wrenching incident, a 20-month-old girl passed away passed away at SKIMS Soura after falling from the second storey of her home in Papchan area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora.

The baby, Fajar Fatima, daughter of Suhail Mushavir Illahi, was referred to a Srinagar hospital from Bandipora a day ago for advanced treatment following the incident, said the family relatives.

However, her injuries were too severe for her to survive the fall.

A relative said, "Doctors had expressed skepticism about her survival when she was being operated upon yesterday evening, and now she has tragically passed away."

According to the relatives, the baby passed away last night.

Her demise has cast a pall of gloom over the locality, with residents mourning the tragic loss. The incident has left her parents and other family members devastated as Fajar was their only daughter.
