Speaker constitutes House Committee to probe alleged JJM bungling

Jammu, Mar 22: Speaker Legislative Assembly Abdul Rahim Rather Saturday announced to constitute a House Committee to probe into alleged bunglings in Jal Jeevan Mission.

He made this announcement while winding up day's proceedings.

"I announce to constitute a House Committee to allay the apprehensions expressed by members from both the sides during debate and even on earlier occasions during this session," Rather said.

Earlier a majority of NC and Congress members demanded House Committee to investigate into, what they alleged "misappropriation of funds in the execution of JJM."

Though the proceedings were over yet the Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma sought that before the constitution of Committee, there should be debate in the House.

"Since morning the issue was being debated," Rather replied.
