Residential house damaged due to landslide at Loran

Poonch- Mandi, Jan 6: A residential house was severely damaged due to a landslide, triggered by heavy snowfall and rainfall in the Aari Gaam area of Poonch's Loran tehsil.

The house belongs to a local resident Ghulam Ahmad. According to locals, a massive boulder rolled down the hill due to snowfall damaging the house.

No loss of life or injury was reported. However, the house suffered massive damage rendering it unsafe.

Ghulam Ahmad stated that the incident occurred last evening when a large boulder rolled down the hill and struck his house, causing cracks and damage.

He informed the local numberdar about the incident, who inspected the spot. The owner appealed to the Tehsildar Mandi to inspect his house and provide compensation for the damage.

He mentioned that he had built the house through hard work and now it is not worth using due to the damage.
