J&K employees, pensioners to get hiked DA

Jammu, Mar 14: J&K Government employees and pensioners, drawing their pay and pension or family pension as per the 6th Pay Commission, will get revised Dearness Allowance (DA) from the existing rate of 239 percent to 246 percent with effect from July 1, 2024.

DA was hiked through two separate orders issued by Principal Secretary, Finance Department Santosh D Vaidya, referring to the Council of Ministers decision No 026/03/2025 dated February 24, 2025.

As per the order related to employees, in continuation to the Government Order No 329-F OF 2024 dated October 16, 2024, the government employees continuing to draw their pay in the pre-revised pay scale or grade pay as per 6th Pay Commission, will be paid Dearness Allowance at revised rate.

The arrears on account of an additional instalment of DA from July 2024 to February 2025, will be paid in cash in the month of March 2025 and will form part of the monthly salary from March 2025 onwards.

Similarly, in continuation to Government Order No 330-F of 2024 dated October 16, 2024, the government pensioners or family pensioners, continuing to draw their pension or family pension as per the 6th Pay Commission will be paid Dearness Allowance at the revised rate.

The arrears on account of additional instalment of DA from July 2024 to February 2025, will be paid in cash in the month of March 2025 and will form part of the monthly pension or family pension from March 2025 onwards, Vaidya ordered.
