Elderly man dies after being hit by vehicle in Anantnag

Srinagar, Mar 16: An elderly man lost his life after being hit by an unknown vehicle in south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Sunday.

An official told JKNS that an unknown vehicle hit an elderly man at Khanabal Anantnag who received critical injuries in the incident.

He identified the injured as Bashir Ahmad Khan, son of Abdul Ahad Khan, resident of Nandpora Anantnag, who was rushed to GMC Anantnag for initial treatment where doctors declared him dead.

The vehicle fled from the spot however, Anantnag police took cognizance of the incident and started investigation in this regard.
