MLA Mehar Ali demands indoor stadia for Kangan, Gund

Ganderbal, Mar 17: National Conference Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kangan Mian Mehar Ali on Monday demanded indoor sports stadia for Kangan and Gund areas.

Speaking in the assembly, he i also raised the demand for having a SRTC bus service from Gund area to Srinagar.

Mian Mehar said people in Gund Tehsil and its far off areas suffer in absence of an affordable transport service and by starting a SRTC bus service people in the area will get benefited. The demand for an indoor stadium in Kangan highlighted the need for modern sports facilities to encourage youth participation in sports activities. Regarding the bus service it is essential to provide reliable and efficient public transportation to connect Kangan to other parts of the region. This service will benefit people, commuters , students, making daily travel more convenient. Mian Mehar Ali also raised the issue of lack of ration stores and ration cards in several areas of Kangan constituency.
