DFP member’s house searched in Handwara: Police

Srinagar, Mar 23: Police in Handwara conducted a search at the residence of a Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) member in Handwara on Sunday.

A statement of J&K Police issued here said that the search was conducted for a DFP member’s sustained association with a banned organisation.

It said that acting on reliable information, a Police team raided the house of Farooq Ahmad Dar, son of Muhammad Shaban Dar of Turpora, Handwara late Sunday evening.

The statement said that the search was conducted in connection with the ongoing investigation in Case FIR No 08/2024 of Police Station Handwara.
