Awareness programme on PMFME held at Parimpora

Srinagar, Jan 30: A one-day workshop cum awareness programme on centrally sponsored “Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME)” was today held at Area Marketing Office Srinagar F&V Market Parimpora Srinagar.

The workshop organized by Area Marketing Officer, District Nodal Officer PMFME scheme district Srinagar, was attended by Bakery Unit Holders of the area, educated unemployed youth, progressive farmers entrepreneurs interested in upgrading their existing units/setting up of new units etc. The awareness camp was also attended by the members of (DLSC) of the PMFME scheme.

The Chief Horticulture Officer Srinagar deliberated upon the schemes pertaining to the Horticulture Sector in detail.

The DNO presented a detailed overview of the Micro-food Processing Sector in the UT of Jammu and Kashmir and the need to integrate the existing unorganized Micro-food Processing Units of the district.
