Woman dies in Ramban accident

Ramban, Sep 05: A woman was crushed to death by a tipper in the Dhramkund area on Ramban Gool road on Thursday.

Police sources said an unknown tipper (Dumper) crushed a woman to death in Chapran Nullah area falling under Dhramkund Police Station jurisdiction on Ramban Gool road.

They said after commuting the accident the unknown driver along with the vehicle fled away from the spot. A police officer identified the deceased woman as Raja Begum, wife of Mishtaq Ahmed resident of Chapran area of Dhramkund.

Late Thursday evening a Police Official at Police Control Room Ramban informed that after hectic efforts the vehicle involved in the accident were traced with the help of CCTVs and the driver involved in the accident was arrested. However, Police refused to share the name of the driver and vehicle number involved in the accident.
