Jammu, Apr 4: Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) marked a significant presence at Startup Mahakumbh 2.0, India’s largest startup platform, by showcasing five promising startups from J&K.

These startups demonstrated innovative solutions, taking entrepreneurial ventures from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to the national stage. The five startups representing J&K at the event were CLMRAT India Pvt Ltd, GR8 Sports Pvt. Ltd, Studio Agama, BISA Pvt Ltd, and Al-Hamdaan Crafts Pvt Ltd.

This participation, facilitated by JKEDI under the J&K Startup Policy 2024-27, highlights the growing startup ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir and the government’s commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic growth. The platform provided these startups with opportunities to network with investors, industry leaders, and other ecosystem enablers, helping them scale their ventures.

Speaking about the participation, Khalid Jahangir, Secretary Industries & Commerce Department with additional charge of Director JKEDI, emphasized that the presence of J&K-based startups at Startup Mahakumbh 2.0 underscores JKEDI’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial talent and creating an enabling ecosystem. “We are proud of our startups for showcasing their innovations at this prestigious platform,” he said.
