Use, sale of crackers in 5 km radius of IB banned in Jammu
Jammu, Nov 3: In a major decision amid prevailing tension between forces of India and Pakistan after recent cross border firing, shelling in Jammus' RS Pura division, the Government administration has banned use and sale of crackers in five kilometres radius of International Border.
Police teams also made announcement of this asking people to follow the order else stern action will be taken against violators.
Recently, ceasefire on IB got violated after Pakistani rangers resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling on International Border in Jammus' Arnia with a woman and few BSF personnel got injured in firing, shelling.
The administration has now ordered a ban on use and sale of crackers in five kms radius of International Border.
Decision has been taken to avoid any unwanted situation of heavy sounds of crackers which can put forces, government agencies in uncertainty of firing and shelling on IB.
Teams of police on Friday also made announcement making people aware of this order.
"People are requested to follow this order and any violation shall be taken seriously," teams of police made announcements.
