Unscheduled power cuts irk Mawer residents

The residents of several villages in Mawer area have complained about irregular power supply in the area despite paying regular electricity bills.

The residents of different villages including Audoora, Warpora, Drugsoo, Nowgam, Lawoosa, Shahrama, Shahnagri, Khudi, Lawoosa and adjoining areas said that they were not getting power supply as per schedule.

The residents said that the Nowgam feeder which gets supply from Receiving Station Qalamabad was the worst hit. They said that almost twenty two villages were aligned with Nowgam feeder, which were getting only 5-6 hour electricity during twenty four hours.

An official said that due to some technical issue, Nowgam feeder was getting affected. He said that within a couple of days, the problem would be resolved.
