Unfinished drainage project in Gousia Colony Pampore poses risk to commuters

Pampore, Jan 20: Residents of Gousia Colony in Pampore area have expressed their concern over an incomplete drainage project constructed by the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department.

The drain, built without a proper outlet, causes frequent flooding of the road, leaving the area submerged during rains.

Adding to the hazard, the drain lacks iron covers for its manholes, leaving them open and exposing residents to potential accidents.

The narrow road further amplifies the risk, especially for pedestrians and vehicles navigating the area.

Locals have demanded immediate action to cover the open manholes with iron plates and provide a proper outlet for waste disposal to prevent road inundation and accidents.
