Two arrested for eve teasing, molestation in Pulwama: Police

Srinagar, July 13: Police has arrested two persons involved in eve teasing and molestation in Pulwama district.

A statement issued to news agency Kashmir Scroll said that Police Station Pulwama received a written complaint from a female (name withheld) regarding an incident of eve teasing and molestation.

Acting swiftly, a case under FIR No. 132/24 U/S 75(1) BNS was registered at Police Station Pulwama, police said, adding that the accused were identified as Shahid Bilal Bhat, S/o Bilal Ahmad Bhat, R/o Pinglena; and Shayan Rasool, S/o Gh Rasool Reshi, R/o Dugam Kakapora who were promptly arrested.

The investigation is ongoing to gather all necessary evidence and ensure justice for the victim, police said.
