GMC Srinagar to host CME on Antimicrobial Resistance
Srinagar, Nov 15: The Post Graduate Department of Medicine Government Medical College Srinagar is going to organise one-day Continuing Medical Education (CME) on Antimicrobial Resistance on November 19 given the upcoming World Antimicrobial Resistance Week (WAAW) being celebrated from November 18 to 24 November where this year’s theme is ‘Educate, Advocate and Act.’
The objective of this CME is to learn about antimicrobial resistance (AMR) and how to use antimicrobials prudently to salvage antimicrobials for the future.
The CME ‘Antimicrobial Resistance - Save Antimicrobials, Save The Future’ is a beginning to sensitise commitment to fight AMR, hold people accountable, and take action to reduce the spread of drug-resistant infections.
The faculty from different medical colleges of the Valley and Directorate of Health, Kashmir, and outside Jammu and Kashmir will be deliberating on infections and AMR, to create awareness among the medical fraternity about the AMR and the responsible use of antibiotics.
