SKUAST-K scientist conferred with IPI-FAI Award 2023
Srinagar, Dec 8: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir scientist Prof Tasneem Mubarak has been conferred with the prestigious IPI-FAI Award 2023.
Serving as Chief Scientist Agronomy at SKUAST-K’s Mountain Research Center for Field Crops (MRCFC), Mubarak was presented with the International Potash Institute and Fertilizer Association of India IPI-FAI Award 2023 by Dr Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers, and Health & Family Welfare during the inaugural session of three-day seminar organised by Fertilizer Association of India.
The award, including a gold medal, citation and cash prize of Rs 2 lakh, was conferred on him in recognition of his contribution to the field of agricultural research and extension, and promotion of balanced and integrated fertilizer use in crop production and nutrition, with special emphasis on potassium.
The seminar ‘Innovations in Fertilizer and Agriculture Sectors’ was attended by 1600 delegates across the world, including Dr Himanshu Pathak, Secretary DARE and DG ICAR, Dr Ramesh Chand Member, NITI Aayog, and many other dignitaries. Prof Mubarak, the recipient of the IPI-FAI 2023 award, attended the seminar as an honorary delegate.
