Sgr-Jmu National Highway | Work on additional 2 lanes of Chamba Seri Bridge nearing completion

Ramban, Jan 7: The bridge construction work on an additional two lanes at Chamba Seri area of Ramban is nearing completion.

The two lanes of the Chamba Seri Bridge were opened on December 21 on the Ramban- Banihal section of the four lanes project.

Engineers of construction company CVPPL engaged by the National Highway Authority of India informed that the work on the additional two lanes of 118 meters Chamba Seri Bridge was almost completed and the road construction work leading to this Bridge from Ramban and Seri side is also in progress.

Officials of the Construction Company said the work on the second arm or additional two –lanes is also near completion and work is being fast-tracked towards completion.

The engineers said, ''The new four-lane Bridge is part of Ramban-Banihal four-lane project constructed on the Ramban-Kelamorh road stretch.'' They added will provide significant relief from traffic jams to commuters and vehicleI.it will reduce the travel time for commuters on the National Highway

They said the work on culverts, parapets, furnishing work on the additional two lanes and the work on the road leading to Kelamorh is in progress.

They said the final stage of work on an additional–lane two-lane (tube) road from Trishul Morh to Kelamorh Marogg stretch is in progress.

They said the road expansion work on the old alignment road leading to Kelamorh from Ramban and the work on the additional two-lane Kelamorh Bridge was started in January 2023.
