Jammu, Dec 5: The Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council under the Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K has commenced the Senior National Men’s Santosh Trophy Coaching Camp at Parade Ground, Jammu, with 32 athletes reporting for the fully residential preparatory camp.

The camp, as per a statement shared by the J&K Sports Council on their social media handle Facebook, is being led by ex-India International Ishfaq Ahmed, who is steering the team through an intensive training schedule designed to enhance tactical awareness, physical conditioning, and match preparedness.

The statement added that the J&K Junior Girls Football Team has safely reached Dimapur, Nagaland, to participate in the Dr Talimeren AO National Football Championship 2025. The young athletes, filled with enthusiasm and determination, are prepared to compete against the country’s best and represent J&K with pride.

Nuzhat Gul, Secretary, J&K Sports Council, in her remarks, said, “Our athletes have repeatedly demonstrated that J&K possesses immense footballing talent. Through systematic coaching camps, scientific training, and full support systems, we aim to elevate the performance of both senior and junior teams.”
