Searches conducted in Rajouri villages

Rajouri, Oct 30: Security forces on Wednesday conducted a massive anti- miltancy operation in three villages near Rajouri town after multiple incidents of sighting of suspects in the area.

Forces after laying cordon in the area, conducted intense searches that continued for hours.

Officials said that joint teams of Army, SoG and CRPF conducted laid a cordon in areas including Tandwal, Peer Kanju, Gurdan, Chawa and Paari Mohalla areas . Some of these areas are part of Rajouri town and some are adjacent to town. After cordon, officials said, a massive search operation was launched and entire area was scanned for presence of suspects.

The operation continued for hours together through the day during which local population was also inquired for movement and sighting of any suspect. The operation was going on when last reports were received, the officials further added.

Earlier, two suspects were seen moving in the area of Tandwal near workshop bridge two days ago while a sighting of two person had happened in Tandwal Pandit Mohalla two weeks ago.
