Repair drainage system in Checkpora, Budgam

We, the residents of Checkpora Kalan, Budgam, wish to bring to the attention of concerned authorities the urgent need for the upgradation of the drainage system on the road near Ziyarat Sharief. Although the road was recently macadamised under the NABARD scheme, the existing drainage system is inadequate and poses several risks, including water logging, flooding, road damage, and hazardous conditions for commuters.

The current issues with the drainage system are insufficient drain capacity, clogged drains due to inadequate maintenance, and a lack of proper slope and gradient.

Given these problems, we respectfully request the Deputy Commissioner (DC) to take immediate action to upgrade the drainage system.

We urge the allocation of necessary funds and resources to complete this work promptly to prevent further inconvenience and ensure the safety of residents and commuters.
