Reasi bus attack: Poni SHO accused of negligence, replaced

Srinagar, June 15: The Jammu and Kashmir Police have removed the Station House Officer (SHO) Poni in Reasi district for “failing to act on inputs” prior to the terrorist attack on a bus left that at least nine pilgrims dead in the area last week.

A media report said today that the Jammu and Kashmir Police have replaced Poni SHO Parmodh Singh. The authorities have taken the decision citing negligence in acting on intelligence inputs prior to the attack.

Inspector Suman Singh has been appointed as the SHO Poni, with immediate effect, following the transfer of the previous SHO due to “perceived lapses in preventive measures”.

Quoting sources, a report said that Parmodh Singh has been accused of negligence on acting on inputs before of the attack.
