Gunfight breaks out in J-K's Kathua

Srinagar, Sept 28: A firefight has erupted between militants and security forces in Rasani Village of Kathua district on Saturday, reports said.  This is the second gunfight in J&K today. Earlier, two militants were killed and four army personnel and a traffic police official were injured in another gunfight in south Kashmir's Kulgam.

Quoting official sources news agency GNS reported that a joint team of forces launched a cordon and search operation after having inputs about movement of some suspicious persons carrying weapons.

As the joint team approached towards the suspicious spot, the hiding militants fired upon the search party, triggering off a gunfight, they said.
