Ready to contest polls: JD (U)

Ganderbal, Aug 08: J&K JD (U) President G M Shaheen today said that his party is ready to contest assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a press note, he was addressing a public gathering in the Kangan area. Shaheen revealed that JD (U) is awaiting the green signal from party high command and Nitish Kumar to officially announce its participation in the elections.

He expressed confidence in the party's preparedness, saying, "We are ready for elections, and once we get the nod from our leadership, we will hit the ground running."
