Presentation Convent School celebrates Annual Sports Day with joy, emotion
Srinagar, Sep 20: Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School in Srinagar held its Annual Sports Day 2025, showcasing the energy and enthusiasm of students from classes 1 to 3 amid cheers, laughter, and emotional scenes from parents.
Draped in colourful dresses, the students from 1st to 3rd primary kept their parents and other guests glued to their seats till the culmination of the event.
As the students' names were announced for performances, their parents, out of excitement, were seen holding their mobile phones in their arms to capture the performance of their kids.
Almost every parent was seen with an emotional smile on their face as their kids were performing dance, frog races and other sports events.
For the kids, it was the celebration of energy, enthusiasm, and pure innocence. The venue was filled with laughter and excitement of students from classes 1st to 3rd primary, while their performances were nothing short of delightful.
Besides performing in different sports events, the little kids carried their confidence while delivering speeches and performing other roles as well.
Parents were seen offering emotional blessings, hands pressed to their hearts.
Besides the school management, MLA Lal Chowk Ehsan Pardesi was invited as the chief guest for the occasion. Principal Burn Hall School Srinagar was the guest of honour at the occasion.
While the top performers were felicitated for their best performance in different events, the school management, however, encouraged every child and acknowledged their participation.
In his address at the occasion, MLA Ehsan Pardesi said Presentation Convent School was known for its academic excellence and has equally given importance to extracurricular activities, which is important to instil confidence among students.
"Apart from academic calendars, it is imperative to organise such events," he said.
He said such sports events are not organised for the time to pass but teach the importance of time and the spirit of the game. "It teaches the value of the game and about the spirit of how mutually we can respect each other’s efforts and ideas,” he said.
