PDP's former zonal president, Shareef-u-Din vows support to Usman Majid

Srinagar, Sep 03: Former zonal president of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for north Kashmir;s Bandipora, Shareef-u-Din Shah Tuesday joined the former MLA, Usman Majid.

While declaring his support to Majid, Shah said that he wanted to "support a leader who has a voice and a vision."

Shah claimed that he was approached by several parties after his resignation but after serious considerations, joined Usman Majid, who he said, was the best option for the Bandipora district.

He said, Majid has the "capacity to take the district forward in terms of development."

Usman Majid, who has been a minister, resigned from Apni Party in early August, and on August 25, declared that he will fight the upcoming Assembly elections as an independent candidate.
