PDP trying to wash away their sins: Sajad Shafi

Srinagar, Nov 4: Ruling party legislator from Uri, Sajad Shafi Monday said that the resolution brought by People’s Democratic Party (PDP) legislator Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra was only a drama set in the house and that PDP was trying to wash away their sins.

“But we have to understand that whatever went wrong with Kashmir is because of the PDP. Our statehood and Article 370 were taken away because of PDP. They are now trying to wash away their sins,” he said. Shafi said that the NC stands with whatever is right for the people of J&K. “We did not come here for theatrics. PDP is responsible for all the chaos. They allied with the BJP despite opposition from regional parties. We extended our support to them at that time but they still made a coalition with BJP,” he said. Meanwhile, BJP MLA Shagun Parihar said that all the legislators who had the people’s mandate should work for their betterment.

“Our people are very poor. They have suffered a lot. We need to talk about their security and safety. We will support whatever will be in the interest of the public,” she said.
