Only one-way traffic from Jammu along national highway tomorrow

Srinagar, March 11:  Traffic authorities on Monday said that subject to fair weather and good road condition, only one-way traffic shall be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway tomorrow.

The one-way traffic, the authorities said has been decided in-view of poor surface of the road at Dalwas.

The light Motor Vehicles would be allowed from Nagrota (Jammu), between 0600 hrs and 1100 hrs. While the Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) shall be managed as per the circumstances.

It is suggested that commuters chose the day time to travel along the highway in-view of possible shooting stones between Ramban and Banihal.

No Vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing, the traffic police said.

Srinagar-Sonamarg-Gumari Road, Mughal Road, Bhaderwah-Chamba road, and Kishtwar-Sinthan-Anantnag road is still blocked due to snow accumulation, traffic police informed in an official communique.
