Omar Abdullah visits refreshment camp at Alamgari Bazar
Srinagar, July 17: National Conference Vice Omar Abdullah today made a visit to the refreshment distribution camp at Alamgari Bazar in Shahar-e-Khas on Ashura.
According to a press note, the camp was organised by local unit functionaries of the Zadibal Constituency led by In Charge constituency Zadibal and Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq. Omar commended the efforts of the party's local unit functionaries, led by Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, for their service to mourners. Party Member of Parliament from Srinagar Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, and Political Advisor to party Vice President Mudassar Shahmiri were both present on the occasion.
During the event, Omar Abdullah along with party leaders actively participated in the Ashura procession and voluntary services at the camp, distributing water and other edibles to mourners.
He emphasiszed that the best way to honor Hazrat Imam Aali Maqam (AS) is to uphold his message of social justice at all levels.
"Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) exemplified courage by standing up against evil and never compromising his human virtues in pursuit of his cause rooted in fundamental principles of humanity, justice, and equality. Imam Hussain (AS) and his revered companions embodied the highest morals. The unwavering patience of Imam Aali Maqam (AS), his revered companions, and associates showcased their pursuit of honor and dignity," he added.
