NTTA holds 7th Annual General Meeting
Srinagar, Dec 8: The Nigeen Tourist Traders Association (NTTA) convened its 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) today at Hotel Kashmir Mahal Resorts, Nishat.
A statement said that the meeting, well-attended by members of the association, was chaired by the Chairman, Manzoor Ahmad Wangnoo.
The AGM, conducted in accordance with the circulated agenda, covered various crucial aspects, including the approval of the income-expenditure statement and an in-depth discussion on the current state of the tourism industry.
Resolving to address challenges faced by the tourism fraternity, it was decided that the association would advocate for necessary redressal from higher authorities.
Chairman NTTA expressed gratitude towards Secretary Tourism for his inclusive approach and dedicated efforts in supporting the association’s endeavors. Additionally, members congratulated Waseem Raja on his appointment as the CEO of Gulmarg Development Authority.
In light of some upcoming travel plans, Chairman NTTA requested members to appoint an interim head for the association during his absence. The members unanimously suggested Zahoor Qari, former President of TAAI JK Chapter, to serve as the interim chairman till the arrival of the chairman.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from Sameer Boktoo, General Secretary of TAAI JK Chapter.
Notable attendees included Chairman NTTA Manzoor Wangnoo, Mohammad Lateef Bhat (General Secretary & MC KCC&I), Peerzada Faiyaz Ahmad (Former President TAAK), Lateef Ahmad, M Rafiq Sheikh, Abdul Rehman Wangnoo, Riyaz Ahmad, Abdul Saboor, Rafiq Ahmad Wangnoo, Mohammad Ashraf Sheikh, Navid Mustafa, and Sameer Ahmad Boktoo.
Chairman NTTA expressed sincere thanks to all members for their active participation, contributing to the success of the 7th AGM. The association looks forward to continuing its dedicated efforts for the betterment of the tourism sector in the J&K.
