NC MP Ruhullah Mehdi calls for release of Kashmiri youth, political prisoners from jails

Srinagar, March 22: National Conference Member Parliament (MP) from Srinagar, Aga Ruhullah Mehdi, has urged the Government of India to release political prisoners and Kashmiri youth, who are incarcerated in different prisons.

In a video statement on social media, he said over 5,000 Kashmiri youth are languishing in different prisons across India and called for their immediate release.

He also said that he had submitted a letter to the Home Minister seeking the release of prisoners.

Ruhullah also urged people to remember the prisoners in their prayers especially on the occasion of Jumatul Wida (the last Friday of Ramadhan).

He called on people to remember the incarcerated Kashmiris in the same way they would come on the roads for the people of Gaza.
