NC leaders pay tribute to Ghulam Nabi Dar on his death anniversary

Srinagar, July 7: National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah, and Vice-President Omar Abdullah have offered glowing tributes to former MLA Kulgam Advocate Ghulam Nabi Dar on his 18th death anniversary.

Dar tragically lost his life in a grenade blast in KulgThe leaders also offered tributes to five other party workers from Kulgam who succumbed to splinter injuries in the same incident.am in July 2006 while coming out of Hazrat Mantaqi (RA) sb Astana e Alia in main town Kulgam, a press release said.

Dr Farooq Abdullah praised Dar as an honest politician and accomplished advocate who dedicated his life to the betterment of the people in his constituency. "He was a loyal member of the party and will always be remembered for his hard work and humble nature. On this day, I offer tributes to him and pray for his soul to rest in peace," he said.

Omar Abdullah also recalled Dar's contributions to the development of his constituency and district, highlighting his commitment to public welfare and loyalty to the party. "Shaheed Dar sahib dedicated his life to serving our people and the party. His unwavering commitment to public service and tireless efforts to improve the lives of others have left a lasting impression. On his martyrdom anniversary, I offer him my tribute and pray to Almighty Allah to elevate his stations in Jannat."

Party General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar, Additional General Secretary Sheikh Mustafa Kamaal, Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, MP Mian Altaf, Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Senior party leader Sakina Itoo, others also paid glowing tributes to Late Dar.

To commemorate the anniversary of Shaheed Ghulam Nabi Dar, a Majlis of Fateha-Khawani will be held at his graveyard, followed by a special commemorative function in HC Gam Kulgam on 9th July.
