Srinagar, May  4: Peoples Conference (PC) President Sajad Gani Lone today said that he is mulling to write to Election Commission of India (ECI) against National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah for lying about his election speech.

Talking to media persons Lone said, “I am mulling to write to ECI about it if there is some space for doing so. Omar Abdullah claims that Sajad Lone has said that he is BJP. Let him give the proof that I have said like that. He must provide the video clip, place and time of making such a statement by me. If he provides the proof, I will apologise. But I know this is a baseless allegation. I never said this. Omar Abdullah must apologise for it.”

The PC President said that NC Vice President is making such statements since he has been rattled by the support “I am getting from people.” “NC leaders have dubbed all parties (except Congress) against it as BJP agents. They are doing so on the directions of BJP. BJP very cleverly has not fielded its candidates in Kashmir, knowing that they would be defeated and get very less vote percentage like earlier polls. BJP’s defeat would have been seen as a rejection of August 5, 2019 decisions. Since the non-NC and non-Congress parties will get 70 to 80 percent vote share, BJP has hired NC leaders to dub non -NC and non-Congress parties as pro BJP. That way later after the poll results BJP can say that parties near to it have obtained 80 percent vote share and in a way it will be projected as approval by people of Kashmir to August 5, 2019 decisions,” Lone said. He added that the allegations of NC are baseless and untrue. “Peoples Conference represents people here and is their team and will emerge victorious with their support,” Lone said.
