Srinagar, Sep 20: Moul Mouj Foundation (MMF) held a heartfelt condolence meeting to honor the memory of Muhammad Shafi Pandit, former Chairman of JKPSC, who passed away late Wednesday night.

Dr. Shakeel Ur Rehman, Secretary General of MMF, reflected on Mr. Pandit's crucial role in the foundation's inception. He praised Mr. Pandit's unwavering dedication to establishing a non-profit organization committed to the comprehensive health and well-being of senior citizens. Mr. Pandit's visionary support and keen interest were instrumental in shaping MMF's mission and its impactful initiatives.

In his tribute, Dr. Zubair Saleem, (Senior Geriatric Consultant) a specialist in senior citizen care, highlighted Mr. Pandit’s profound influence. He noted that Mr. Pandit was an inspirational figure, whose ideas and persistence were central in advancing societal welfare, particularly for the elderly. The development of the Moul Mouj Privilege Card was directly inspired by Mr. Pandit’s consultations, designed to address the unique challenges faced by seniors in Kashmir. His advocacy for robust home-based care for the elderly left an enduring legacy.
