Moul Mouj Foundation for Holistic Care of Seniors
At the outset, the Moul Mouj Foundation team extends heartfelt thanks to everyone for their support and encouragement, especially considering that we began just a month ago. We’ve received numerous inquiries, calls, and emails about the Moul Mouj Initiative, which we are happy to address. To be precise, the Moul Mouj Foundation (MMF) is a charitable initiative dedicated to honoring and caring for the senior members of our community, particularly our parents, who have shaped our lives.
Moul Mouj Health Centre (MMHC) is a dedicated clinic for seniors, offering significant discounts on consultations, medications and tests, regardless of financial status. We provide a Moul Mouj Privilege Card to all seniors, granting them access to these discounts. For those who are underprivileged due to elder abuse, neglect or financial dependence, MMHC offers a lifetime privilege card, ensuring free consultations, medicines and in-house tests for life.
The clinic is aimed to provide Holistic Health for senior citizens and treating the common diseases in elderly that includes high blood pressure, diabetes, urinary problems, prostate problems, heart diseases, neurological problems (Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease), memory loss, sleep disorders, gastroenterological problems, musculo-skeletol pain, osteoporosis, gout, various infections and chest diseases. Beside physical problems, the senior citizens will be counseled for their mental stress, social problems, sense of loneliness and isolation.
We also provide mental health counseling to address stress, loneliness, and isolation, creating individualized care plans to maintain independence and enhance quality of life. Caregivers are also counseled to prevent caregiver burnout. We also offer recreational activities, meeting spaces and refreshments for seniors at a reduced price in our conference hall.
Our services include:
OPD Consultations: Seniors are treated by a geriatric specialist for all medical needs.
Home-Based Care: For seniors unable to visit the clinic, we offer at-home consultations, lab tests, and medication delivery.
Telehealth: Seniors can consult with our specialist via smartphone, tablet, computer, or landline, with teleconsultations available for ongoing or new medical issues.
Infusion Therapy: We provide a variety of IV therapies, including for infections, pain management and hydration.
Vaccination Program: Just like children, seniors have a vaccination schedule, which we implement at MMHC.
Disease Screening: We offer early screening for heart disease, prostate issues, neurological disorders, cancer and more.
Cross Referral: In case the geriatrician feels that the patient requires surgical intervention or dental consultation, we have these facilities in house.
Pain and Palliative Care at Home: We focus on relieving pain and symptoms for those with serious or terminal illnesses.
Dr. Zubair Saleem, a senior geriatric consultant with 12 years of experience, leads our team. As a specialist in senior citizen care, he has served as the Head of the Geriatric Department at JLNM Hospital, Nodal Officer for Geriatric Medicine, Kashmir Division, and Medical Coordinator at Ahata Waqar Government Day Care Centre for Senior Citizens, Chanapora. He is also an expert in providing Home-Based Care and telehealth services.
