Srinagar, Dec 30: Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir, Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq on Monday launched the ‘privilege health card’ for prayer leaders at a private hospital in Srinagar.

At the launch, Mirwaiz called for making the healthcare sector efficient and people-friendly at both government and private levels. He also asked the medics to inculcate a spirt of compassion and care in their service to humanity.

“During his visit to the Ujala Group of Hospitals, known as Ujala Cygnus Healthcare Service in Nowgam, on the invitation of its management, Mirwaiz officially launched the hospital's Privilege Health Card, which offers free medical check-ups, diagnostics, specialist consultations, and access to advanced hospital facilities, specifically for Aima of mosques of Jammu and Kashmir, irrespective of sect or ideology,” read a statement issued by the office of Mirwaiz Umar.

While lauding this initiative as a first of its kind, Mirwaiz expressed hope that the benefits will also be extended to the families of prayer leaders.
