Srinagar, Sep 20: Mir Hayyan Parveez, a young cricketing talent from Palhallan Pattan, exhibited sensational all-round performance at the CBSE National Under-14 Cricket Tournament, where he not only clinched four Man of the Match awards, including the semifinal and final, but was also declared Man of the Tournament.

Representing Doon School Srinagar, the 13-year-old displayed remarkable consistency with both bat and ball, finishing the championship as the most valuable player of the tournament held in Noida.

In the five matches played, Hayyan amassed 284 runs at an astonishing average of 94.67 and a strike rate of 144.16. His tournament included match-winning knocks of 89 (51 balls) in the third match, 64 (44 balls)* in the semifinal, and a sublime 72 (53 balls)* in the final. He was the backbone of his side’s batting order, rescuing his team in crunch moments and finishing games in style.

Equally effective with the ball, Hayyan picked up 7 wickets in the tournament, maintaining an impressive economy rate of 3.85 runs per over. His best bowling came in the semifinal, where he returned figures of 3 wickets for 35 runs to dismantle the opposition.

His all-round brilliance earned him Man of the Match awards in the first match, third match, semifinal, and final before he was crowned Man of the Tournament.
