Laigaroo demands compensation for fire victims
Srinagar, May 17: PDP state secretary and constituency incharge Habba Kadal today visited Shamswari area of Fateh Kadal and expressed anguish over damage caused in a fire incident.
He was accompanied by zone president Sameer-ul-Jameel, Shiekh Nauman, Adil Farooq and others. He expressed anguish over the fire incident in which Jamia Masjid in the locality was gutted.
He expressed resentment over what he said, “leniency of authorities in taking prompt action to douse the fire immediately which would have prevented maximum loss.”
Laigaroo also hit out at the administration for, “failing to visit the area for assessment of losses.” He urged LG administration to assess losses and give compensation to all affected besides undertaking proper repairs of gutted masjid.
