KPs strong sense of culture, spirit of assimilation is inspiring: Sadhotra
Jammu, June 15: Senior National Conference (NC) leader Ajay Kumar Sadhotra today said that Kashmiri Pandits' (KPs) strong sense of culture and spirit of assimilation is inspiring. He, along with other party leaders, visited Kheer Bhawani Temple at Jagti and Janipur, paid obeisance, and participated in the Arti at Janipur Temple.
According to a press release, after paying obeisance and participating in the Aarti, Sadhotra greeted the Kashmiri Pandits on the holy occasion of Jyeshta Ashtami and prayed for peace and tranquility in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the Kashmiri Pandits (KPs) have been contributing immensely to the development and harmonious growth of Jammu, which most of them have made their second home for the past over two and half decades. He wished them a prosperous future and fulfillment of dreams of the young boys and girls, who are pursuing their academics and careers, braving all odds.
Lauding their strong sense of culture and spirit of assimilation, National Conference Additional General Secretary and former minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra acknowledged the niche carved out by Kashmiri Pandits for themselves beyond territorial boundaries across the world. “Despite being cosmopolitan in character, Kashmiri Pandits are deeply rooted in their culture, ethos, and the land of ancestors,” Sadhotra said while interacting with the devotees at Kheer Bhawani Janipur — a replica of the most revered Kheer Bhawani at Tulmulla in Kashmir — on the auspicious occasion of Jyeshta Ashtami late last evening.
He said by dint of determination, hard work, and devotion, Kashmiri Pandits have left an indelible mark of their presence, especially in the corporate sector of the country. “Braving the most difficult times, they have shown a tremendous degree of resilience, which is inspiring,” he said and referred to the mark made by young Kashmiri Pandits in different walks of life across the country and beyond its boundaries.
