Kashmir’s Azim Parveez scores on India U-17 debut at SAFF Cup in Sri Lanka
Srinagar, Sep 17: Seventeen-year-old forward Azim Parveez, who started his football training with Downtown Heroes FC, marked his international debut in style by scoring for India in the SAFF U-17 Championship 2025 in Sri Lanka, a milestone hailed by his coaches and club as a breakthrough for Kashmiri football.
As per a statement issued on Wednesday, Azim not only represented India on this prestigious platform but also scored a memorable debut goal, marking the beginning of a promising international career.
His outstanding performances led to his selection in the Kashmir Super League, representing New JK United FC, where he further honed his skills and impressed both fans and selectors alike.
