Kashmir Cup 2025: Sultan Warriors Baramulla storm into semifinals with thrilling win

Srinagar, Aug 29: The Kashmir Cup 2025 has entered its most electrifying phase with the playoffs set to begin after 20 intense league matches, four of which were washed out due to rain. Out of the 10 participating teams, eight have sealed their spots in the playoffs, raising the excitement levels among cricket fans across the Valley.

As per a statement issued on Friday, the teams making it to the knockout stage are Sultan Warriors Baramulla, Hamdaan Hurricanes, Royal Good Will, Valley Fresh CC, The Real Sultan Sumerbugh, Sopore Stallions, Elegant Strikers, and JK Eleven Shopian.

Fans are now gearing up for high-voltage clashes in the eliminators and qualifiers as the fight for the coveted title intensifies. In the first playoff encounter at TRC Ground Srinagar, Sultan Warriors Baramulla outclassed Sumerbugh’s Sultan Warriors by 4 wickets, booking their place in the next stage.

Batting first, Sultan Warriors Sumerbugh were bundled out for 117 runs in 19.1 overs. Despite a resilient 28 off 25 balls from Waseem Raza and a quickfire 25 off 15 from Sajid Dar, their innings faltered against disciplined bowling. Jaddu (3/29), Aazim Rather (2/9), and skipper Nadeem Dar (2/16) did the damage with the ball.
