JKEEGA takes up HR issues of engineers with CM
Srinagar, Dec 7: The Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) delegation lead by its president Er Pirzada Hidayatullah met Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and discussed HR issues faced by engineers of JKPDD.
Briefing about the issues, CM was briefed about non regularisation despite SAC order of 2019 and its impact on the psyche of engineers who even after taking charge of higher positions are paid salaries in the grade of JE or AE.
Besides, issues of shortage of staff in JKPDD and creation of the Enforcement Wing were also brought into notice of CM. The denial of Assured Career Progression in JKPDD for which PDD engineers were also brought into his notice.
Throwing light on the issue of slow and dismal progress of CPSUs in implementing centrally sponsored schemes it was given to understand that failures of PSUs are barring JKPDD to achieve targets set under RDSS scheme sponsored by centre which is having negative impact on reducing losses.
Further briefing about poor efficiency of HRM-JKPDD which led to stagnation of promotions, creation of huge vacancies, non regularisation of engineers and delay in routine matters was also highlighted.
"JKEEGA is hopeful for resolution of issues faced by engineers and assured full support on ground in implementing all reform based schemes sponsored by government," a statement said. Others who were part of the delegation were Er Dalbir Singh, Er Azhar Hamid Mattoo, Er Shabir Khan, Er Fayaz Ahmad Wani, Er Aijaz Jan, Er Farhan Manzoor Shah and Er Muddassir Nabi.
