J&K Police Memorial Football Tournament sees high-scoring wins on Day 5
Srinagar, Sep 26: The 20th J&K Police Martyrs Memorial Football Tournament 2025 entered its fifth day Friday with a string of dominant performances and thrilling contests at the Synthetic Turf TRC and Polo Ground in Srinagar.
As per the police statement, J&K Police set the tone with a commanding 7–1 win over Kashmir Panthers, powered by a brace each from Jahangir and Faisal, while Hayat and Aejaiz added one each. Momeen struck the lone goal for Kashmir Panthers. Faisal Rashid of J&K Police was named Man of the Match.
In another match, Kashmir Avengers beat Galaxy FC 3–1, with Adeel, Numaan, and Huzaif on target. Soliha pulled one back for Galaxy FC. Adeel Tariq was declared Man of the Match.
Downtown FC edged Iqbal Sports 1–0, with Sahil’s decisive strike, which also earned him the Man of the Match honour.
BSF cruised past Kawal FC 3–0, with Kishori scoring twice and Zack netting an own goal. Kishori was adjudged Man of the Match for his stellar performance.
ARCO FC blanked AG’s Office 3–0, with goals from Jahangir Hassan, Basit Ahmed, and Moeen Rafiq. Basit was named Man of the Match.
The day concluded with SWFC Baramulla defeating SSB 3–0, led by a brace from Mohammad Sahil, who scored 2 goals, and a goal from Shafayat. Sahil took home the Man of the Match award.
The tournament, organised by the Jammu & Kashmir Police, will continue through Sep 30, featuring leading clubs and institutional teams from across the region.
