J&K Pickleball team qualifies for Indian Nationals 2025
Srinagar, Oct 28: The Jammu and Kashmir Pickleball team has qualified for the Indian Pickleball Nationals 2025, set to be held from November 13 to 16 at The Sports School in Bengaluru, marking another milestone for the rapidly growing sport in the Union Territory.
The event, as per a statement, will be hosted by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) under the aegis of the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports and the Sports Authority of India (SAI).
This qualification highlights the rapidly growing momentum of pickleball in J&K, supported by rising participation and a stronger athlete development system across the Union Territory.
Farid Singh, President of the J&K Pickleball Association, praised the players for their commitment and stated that the team is fully prepared to make its mark on the national stage. Viraj, Secretary of the J&K Pickleball Association, said the selection reflects the immense potential of athletes from J&K and reinforces the Association’s focus on delivering competitive excellence.
Team J&K will compete against the top players from across India, carrying the pride and aspirations of the Union Territory to one of the country’s premier sporting platforms.
