Srinagar, Oct 27: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu Anand Jain Sunday said that the J-K police has a strong commitment to fight terrorism.

Jain said, police have always been on the forefront in the battles against militancy.

“We have lost many brave jawans in this battle, and today we pay homage to their supreme sacrifices. Their dedication inspires our resolve to safeguard our people,” Jain said, as per news agency KINS.

Amidst the festive season in Jammu, Jain assured that comprehensive security arrangements have been implemented across the division to create a secure environment for residents and visitors alike.

“All necessary security measures have been put in place to ensure the public’s safety during this festive period,” he said.

“Our security forces remain committed and vigilant, ensuring peace and protection for the people.”

Jain was leading a bike rally in Jammu, organised as homage to the slain police men.

“The bike rally not only celebrated the memory of those who lost their lives but also underscored the Jammu and Kashmir Police's commitment to ensuring security and peace in the region,” Jain said.

“This is a very important day for us. We remember the martyrs of the police and pay homage to their supreme sacrifices. Many of our people have been martyred in the war against terrorism, and with all these martyrs’ families, our Jammu and Kashmir family stands united.”

ADG Jain reiterated the police’s dedication to the welfare of the martyrs’ families, emphasizing that their support extends beyond the memorial event.
