Inter-district yoga competition inaugurated at Indoor Stadium Baramulla

Baramulla, Oct 30: The Inter-District UT Level Yoga Competition (Boys and Girls) was inaugurated at the Indoor Stadium Baramulla amid great enthusiasm and participation from across the Union Territory on Thursday.

As per an official statement, District Information Officer Baramulla, Iftikhar Naseem, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and formally inaugurated the event in the presence of officers from the Youth Services and Sports Department, coaches, and participants.

The competition features yogis from different districts of Jammu and Kashmir, showcasing their skills, discipline, and sportsmanship in various yoga categories. The event aims to promote physical fitness, mindfulness, and a spirit of healthy competition among youth.

Speaking on the occasion, the DIO appreciated the efforts of the organisers for conducting the UT-level championship in Baramulla and lauded the participants for their dedication towards yoga. He said that yoga is a holistic practice that enhances both body and mind.
